Fun Things to Do in Port Harcourt: What to Do and How Much It Costs

Got a free weekend and no idea what to do with it?

Whether you have ₦2,000 or ₦15,000 to spend, there are quite a few places in Port Harcourt where you can turn a boring afternoon into an actual outing. Here’s where to go, what you can do there, and roughly how much to budget.

DE-G Resort Amusement Park

If you want lots of things to do in one place, DE-G Resort is probably one of the easiest options. You can spend a few hours here without having to move from one location to another, with activities ranging from games and skating to bowling and swimming.

Things to do:

Bowling: ₦4,000 for one hour, including shoe rental

Roller skating: from ₦5,000

Bumper cars: ₦2,000 for 7 minutes

Pool/snooker: ₦1,500/hour

Long table tennis: ₦5,000/hour

Swimming: ₦2,000

Cinema: ₦4,000/seat

Mini-pitch football: ₦15,000/hour

Arcade games: prices vary

You can also combine several activities into one outing; bowling, arcade games, food and a movie, for example.

Best for: dates, families, friend groups and anyone who wants plenty of options in one location.

Budget: ₦2,000–₦15,000+, depending on how many activities you choose.

Port Harcourt Pleasure Park

Sometimes you don't need a packed itinerary. Pleasure Park works just as well when you simply want somewhere to spend an afternoon. Go for a walk, jog, take pictures, grab some food, sit by the water or add one of the park's attractions to your visit.

Things to do:

Go-karting: ₦5,000 for 10 minutes

Boat ride: ₦3,000–₦4,500

Walk, relax and take pictures

Food and drinks: budget separately depending on where you eat

For a simple outing, ₦5,000 is a reasonable starting budget once you factor in an activity or something to eat.

Best for: dates, families, casual hangouts, solo afternoons and low-pressure outings.

Budget: ₦5,000+.

GRIT Quad Biking Arena

If your idea of fun involves speed and a little competition, GRIT is where you want to be. Quad biking is the headline attraction, but you can also try archery and gel blasters while you're there.

Things to do:

Quad biking:

₦6,000 — 5 minutes

₦10,000 — 10 minutes

₦13,000 — 15 minutes

Archery: from around ₦4,000

Gel blasters: from around ₦5,000

Helmets and safety briefing are included for quad biking, and group discounts are available.

Open: Friday and Saturday, 10am–6pm. Sunday opening was added in July 2026.

Best for: competitive friends, dates, groups and anyone looking for something more adventurous.

Budget: from ₦4,000 for archery or ₦6,000 for quad biking.

Alpha Range Paintball Arena

Alpha Range is built for getting the whole friend group involved. Get your team together, pick sides and settle your rivalry with paintballs.

Things to do:

Paintball:

Standard Entry and Gear: ₦15,000 per person (includes basic equipment and 100 pellets).

Pellet Refills: Around ₦8,500 for additional ammo refills.

Special Group/Event Packages: Organized bonding or training sessions can range up to ₦25,000 per person depending on added refreshments and structured field time.

Opening hours: generally around 10am–10pm, with shorter Sunday hours.

Best for: groups and competitive friend circles.

Budget: Typically costs around ₦15,000 per person for full combat gear and 100 paint pellets.

Zone 360

Zone 360 is an option when you want a more relaxed gaming session with friends.

Things to do:

Arcade games

Competitive gaming

Group gaming sessions

Best for: solo gamers, dates and groups of 2–5

Budget: depends on what you play and how long you stay.

OG's Gamecity

If console gaming is more your thing, OG's Gamecity gives you another option for a gaming-focused hangout. Bring a friend, pick a game and prepare to discover who suddenly becomes extremely competitive when a controller is involved.

Best for: gamers, small groups and casual hangouts.

Budget: depends on the game and duration.

So, What Can You Do With Your Budget?

₦2,000

You can start small with:

Bumper cars at DE-G

Swimming at DE-G

Pool/snooker at DE-G

Some arcade options

₦5,000

Now you've got considerably more options:

Bowling at DE-G

Roller skating at DE-G

Cinema at DE-G

Go-karting at Pleasure Park

Archery at GRIT

A simple Pleasure Park outing

₦10,000

You can start combining activities:

Bowling + food

10-minute quad biking

Multiple activities at DE-G

Go-karting + another activity

₦15,000+

Now you're looking at a proper experience:

Quad biking + food

Several activities at one venue

Group games

A full afternoon/evening outing

And if you're coming with friends, split the cost where possible. DE-G and GRIT both offer group pricing/discounts on selected activities.

Going Alone?

You don't need a group to have a good time.

Try: Archery → bowling → arcade → cinema

Or simply spend the afternoon walking around Pleasure Park, grabbing something to eat and doing one activity.

Coming With Friends?

This is where things get competitive.

Try: Go-karting → quad biking → paintball → gel blasters → arcade

Just don't let anyone say, I'm not competitive, before the first race. They're probably lying.

Going on a Date?

You don't need to spend huge sums to make a date feel like an outing.

Try: Boat ride → bowling → roller skating → cinema → food

Or keep it simple with one activity and somewhere to sit and talk.

The Skaute Rule of Thumb

₦5,000: One proper activity + something small to eat.

₦10,000: Enough for a decent outing.

₦15,000+: Now you're planning an experience.

And if you don't want to decide what to do before leaving home, open Skaute, browse the map and/or the discovery page to see what places, events or activities happening around you.
